Winter Baskets

Why buy Winter Baskets from us?

When you buy your Winter Basket from us, you’re doing more than bringing home fresh, local produce — you’re supporting both local farmers and community members who are facing food insecurity. For each basket purchased, a portion of the price is considered a donation that helps make baskets accessible to more people in our community, allowing everyone to enjoy healthy, seasonal food. Plus, you’ll receive a tax receipt for your contribution — a small act of kindness that goes a long way.

What is it and how does it work?

Our Winter Baskets are filled with wonderful fresh and local vegetables that are available from November to April. These baskets will contain root vegetables and greenhouse greens, microgreens, apples, and much more!

We offer the choice of small baskets, which we recommend for 1 to 2 people, or large baskets, which are better suited for 3 to 5 people.

By paying a small extra fee of $8 per basket (which is already included in the price), you are helping to subsidize these baskets for fellow West Islanders who are facing food insecurity. In addition, since this "extra" is also considered to be a donation, you will receive a tax receipt!

You get to chose from the following options, to better suit your needs:

  • Subscribe to 10 baskets, one every two weeks, from end of November to April.

  • Subscribe to 5 baskets, one per month, from end of November to April.

  • Custom choose how many baskets and which weeks you would like to receive them - this option is for those who would like 4 baskets or less during the aforementioned months.
