West Island Solidarity Market

The Solidarity Markets are part of our programs that help West Islanders by making fresh, local and affordable produce available. Our produce is sourced within a 30 km radius. All our products are therefore fresh and locally grown. This program allows everyone to participate in a model that allows residents in vulnerable situations to have access to local, fresh and affordable products. The Solidarity Markets are made possible through the support of the Foundation of Greater Montreal and the partnership with the Alliances for Solidarity and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, the Direction régionale de la santé publique, the Borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro, the City of Pointe-Claire and VertCité.

Methods of payment: We take cash, debit and credit, as well as the Proximity Card (for those who have won one).

We also have a “pay what you can'' option! At the market, all prices are suggested. This means shoppers who may need to pay a bit less, can, and those that can pay more, can round up their bill. Shoppers who pay more than the suggested price create a balance so their neighbour can pay less. You can learn more about this initiative at the market, just ask at the cash! Our aim is to increase physical and economic access to fresh fruits and vegetables in the neighborhood!. This non-profit market is an initiative of the TQSOI (Table de quartier sud de l’Ouest-de-l’île) in partnership with Corbeille de pain. For more information, send us a message on Facebook or email Alicia at
