Winter Baskets
Winter baskets are back for a second year!
Available from January to April, our Winter Baskets are filled with wonderful fresh, locally grown vegetables including root vegetables, greenhouse greens, microgreens, apples, and more!
NEW THIS YEAR: baskets will contain a choice of dried goods and transformed natural products like jam, honey, pickled veggies and more. We will also offer a personalized choice of vegetables from the curently available selection.

Why order Winter Baskets?
Three great reasons to bring home delicious produce!
1) Eat fresh, healthy food
that's locally grown; you'll get access all winter long. Winter doesn't have to mean an end to fresh food!

2) Support local farmers
and strengthen your local food system. We pay all of our producers a fair price, ensure they receive steady business during their quiet season, and source our products from farmers within 30-50km from the West Island.

3) Feed your community!
For each basket purchased a portion of the price is considered a donation that helps fund accessible baskets accessible for more people in our community, allowing everyone to enjoy healthy, seasonal food.

By paying a small extra fee, which is already included in the price, you are helping to subsidize these baskets for fellow West Islanders who are facing food insecurity. In addition, since this "extra" is also considered to be a donation, you will receive a tax receipt!
